In 1904, 11 women created an organization that would provide educational, philanthropic, and leadership opportunities for women- Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity. The Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation was created in 1962 to ensure the Fraternity's mission would live into Alpha Gamma Delta's second century, allowing women of all ages to make positive differences on their campus and in their communities- leaving a legacy for generations of women to follow.
The Mission of the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, Inc. is two-fold ~ To generate financial resources to fund the educational, philanthropic, and leadership purposes of Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity. ~To support those purposes, for both members and non-members, through financial grants for scholarships, leadership training, diabetes research, education and equipment, emergency financial assistance, wellness issues, and programs that enhance high personal standards of ethics and value.
